We had our almost 13 week appointment yesterday. It's amazing that in almost 4 weeks, babykins has gone from being a blob-ish figure to an actual baby! We were able to see tiny details like little fingers and toes, eyes, nose and mouth. For a while, baby looked poised to be suckling on thumbs, but could barely hold still long enough to maintain said position. A wiggly one this is. The 3-D picture leaves some to be desired and begs the question: am I giving birth to a duck or baby Klingon? Thankfully the doc seems to think that it will be born with all its features intact. Baby is just over 2 inches long and mama and baby are measuring right on target to deliver Valentine's day. The doc says that hopefully by the next appointment, we'll be able to see the gender.
Ps. Kelly thinks he can see a peener in the 3-D picture.

I am feeling very jealous over your sonograms. It is cool to think that your baby is with you all the time gettin bigger every day. I have been reading this blog: http://www.suburbansnapshots.com, pretty funny stuff.
I think its time to start posting monthly belly shots. Please and thank you.
Ooh, barf. Although I'm nearly sporting an outie, I'm gonna wait until the tum rounds out a little, instead of taking pictures of my jelly roll. Soon mamacita, soon.
Leslie, thanks for the link. I need to resume checking it out, it looked entertaining.
