The First Supper

Doting first time mother here, of course I have to post all his firsts. Rice cereal and applesauce were a monumental failure, but tonight, we got him to successfully ingest sweet taters. He couldn't quite get enough.

A Boy and His Papa

Starts with day one...

Not so sure how he feels about this one...

Daddy's beard is a thing of wonderment and amazement.

This boy LOVES t.v. Among his favories are, Elmo and Nova. This was Nova night.

People scarcely believe when I tell them that almost always the first thing I see when I get home, is Kelly bouncing Bridger on his hip while he feeds him and puts the finishing touches on dinner. It's true, however. The kind of father a man becomes, is indicative by the kind of husband he already is. I'm luckier than most, in that, Kelly is a pro at both. My heart melts when I see Bridger with his dad, for I know that he is learning from the best example he can. Thanks Kelly for being the best kind of dad and husband you can be. We love you. Happy Father's Day!! And happy Father's day to all the papas out there.

Car Show 2011

Tradition found us yet again in the armpit of the universe to partake of all things car show. We dragged Kathy and Dennis out too, which was wonderful, because they took Bridger out to play and go swimming while Kelly and I kicked arse on the craps tables. Bridger also got kicked out of his first casino. Apparently they frown upon sitting at machines with a baby strapped to your front...a classy move on my part. Laaaame. Bridger was thrilled by all the goings on at the show.

Kyooote. *meep* *meep*
Uncle Larry and aunt Nae by their sweet investment.

I'm fairly certain that IN THE BEGINNING, God created the Stingray.

Wheeew, all tired out from cars and oldie moldies. Ps. I think there is a strong possibility that this one is starting to teethe. uugh. That will put an abrupt end to the 3 days of peace without illness.

Our Golden 9th

Felicitations to Kelly and I, for we have been hitched nine years! This year, our anniversary weekend happened to fall on the same weekend as the MDA ride out to Wendover. We saddled up the Harley and joined the throngs of bikers to enjoy a weekend of hawgs and music. This year's concert brought Cinderella and Slaughter to the armpit of the universe and it was an awesome show! Never you mind that the bands are 30 years older and tested the very limits of their button down leather vests with newly formed chub deposits. They still sounded great.

A few observations about those who frequented this event:

1. Mullets. Lots of mullets.
2. Leather. Lots of tight leather.

3. Muffin top. An unfortunate side effect of the preceding observation.

4. Tats.

5. Non-tats. The funniest of which, was a sheer shirt (the entire shirt) printed to look like a tat. Like those funny gag sleeves you can buy. Awesome. Where can I score one of these?

There was also this scarecrow looking person with this cute guy. O wait.... My head was in a helmet all day and it was windy. Gimme a break.

Last, but certainly not least, Tom Keifer belting out "Nobody's Fool" to a crowd of doting butt rockers. Including ourselves.

In all, it was a great weekend and I was lucky to get to spend it rocking out with my best friend. Mr. Kelly sir, I love you more than the day I married you and I look forward to a lifetime with you filled with happiness, motorcycles and hair bands. Happy anniversary!

Trailer Pad

Working on this project currently. Had to dig out a crap load of grass and gravel. We still have a few trips to the dump and

some smoothing to go, and we should be ready for concrete next weekend.

Of the things I highly recommend

This one certainly ranks up there on my list. My dearest Kari, who is a gorgeous wisp of a woman, loaned me this book after listening to many of my lamentations about post pregnancy weight. This Dr. Acquista fellow is some kind of magician. 2 weeks. 9 pounds lost for me. 19 for Kelly (dirt bag) I've always said I just want someone to tell me what to eat, how much and when. This book does all of the above. I love it. Thanks Kari!

Ugh

My baby gearing up for a weekend of fun.

My baby after a weekend of 'fun'. He has an ear infection, but as far as I'm concerned, it may as well be the deadly tuberculosis. Poor boy coughs so hard, he throws up everything. His face is how I feel. I hope he gets better soon. Feels like he's been in a constant state of sick ever since I went back to work. Ugh is all I have to say.

A Not So Warm Memorial Day

We took the trailer up to Strawberry over the long holiday weekend. You know...the one that generally precedes a long, glorious, HOT month. It snowed. And not a little. Thankfully, we left before the torrent, but it was extremely chilly nonetheless.

Big marshmallows........

Make even bigger smores!

I sure do love my boys.

Awe, aint we su'um?
