We also made a stop to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It was set up to mimic the African savanna. There was a huge variety of exotic animals and safari jeeps to take you in and amongst the wild animal kingdom. The park was originally built as a rehabilitation center for animals they were trying to breed, hence its vast open spaces and natural(ish) surroundings. Lots o fun.
