Potty

Crude? Yes. Sorry. It is early yet, but Bridger shows some glimmer of readiness to use the potty. He says "pawee". That's a start, right? Today we bought his first potty chair and wouldn't you know, he went poopoo in it and was sooooo excited! I hope this doesn't jinx us for the next year or so.

Riding a wave

This past weekend, we had intended to take the boat out to Willard. The weather, however, was less than cooperative. We still enjoyed camping, s'mores and Gizmo had an almost unfortunate run-in with a skunk. Thankfully, our spirits were not dampened by the gale forced winds, for when life hands you waves...ride em! Kathy brought up our wave runner and we made an afternoon of it. Bridger also had his first ride on the wave runner, albeit a slow one (as seen here) Now every time we get in the car, he points to the wave runner and says, "vroom, vroom!"

Wild Deuces

Not only did we celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary this month, June is the month for the ride against muscular dystrophy. This year Tesla happened to be playing at the concert hall. The show was outstanding! Weather beautiful and ride relaxing as ever. I hope for many more riding days this summer.

Part Two

Of the memorial day weekend, when dark clouds finally gave way to sunshine, we went for a stroll in the park, BBQ with the fam and had the wheelbarrow derby.

Thanks to a rainy start to the Memorial Day weekend, we went in search of indoor recreation. This is my new favorite child friendly haven. The Treehouse Children's Museum on 22nd street in Ogden.
After a full day exploring Mexican villages, playing giant chess, seeking refuge in a Mongolian ger, communing with sea life, milking cows, taming bucking broncos, being king Arthur, climbing tree houses, being president, coloring on ourselves with markers and SO much more, we all came home and passed out for several hours. Wheeeew, what a day. This place is an amazing distraction for kids. If you haven't been here, you MUST go. You won't be sorry that you did.
