Future Embarassment #1

What kind of crazy, over-indulgent first time mom would I be if I didn't take photos with which to harass future generations? I'm going to change the name of our blog to "The Boy and the Random Stuff I Take Pictures of"

Baby Blue Face

Bridger has begun doing the most irritating thing on earth. Holding his breath. Apparently this is a completely normal development in 1 out of 20 children and can last up to 3 or more years. He starts crying...no let me rephrase...he doesn't start calmly crying like other children, he's balls to the wall screaming, like 0-60 in 2.3 seconds. Cries so hard, he forgets to breathe in, turns a lovely shade of blue and black, passes out for a minute (no joke) and comes to feeling very groggy. I called the dr. about it today and was told not to worry, it's just part of the "tantrum cycle" that begins at 6 months and could last the rest of my effing life. Awesome. Toddlerhood, here we come.

Bear Lake

Bridger noshing on hand fulls of sand. I don't so much wonder what the effects of sand in the bowels are, for I have seen it first hand in his diapers.
Alaina hanging out with her coz.
Father and son waiting for a delicious feast of processed meats and other fried products.
Bear Lake was great fun this year, though I didn't take as many pictures as I should have.

Gearing up for the season

This weekend we spent some time at the shop reupholstering the cushions in our trailer. While we were there, uncle Larry gifted Bridger with a variety of Packers tees, to ensure proper allegiance for the upcoming football season. Baby cheesehead in the making. Football in less than 4 weeks!

Day at the Park

Bridger and I spent the 24th picnicking and playing with Grandma, Grandpa, Sheryl, Taylee & Alaina at the park. Bridger neither loved nor hated the swings. In all, was just un-impressed.
Playing with Grandma on the slide.
Taking a ride with Alaina.

Taylee and Alaina feeding the geese and ducks.

The Bay

A couple of weeks ago, we were finally able to take the boat out to Willard Bay for her maiden voyage of the season. It was so nice to be in the sun and surf.
Bridger enjoying the flavorful properties of his life jacket.
Lounging about in his floaty.
Taking a break from all the excitement.

Frisco

Ahh, chilly, windy San Fran nights.

Chilly, windy San Fran days at the Golden Gate Bridge

Crookedest street in the world.

Also visited The Rock (Alcatraz duh)

...Where Kelly did some hard time...like, 30 seconds. Doesn't look too broken up to me.
