What's so great about 8?

Why, let me tell you:
1. E8. An essential facet to string theory. Model of which is seen here: (google it, it's fascinating);
2. One out of eight humans is a Chinese farmer;
3. Eight is the atomic number of oxygen;
4. Eight planets in the solar system, duh!
5. There are eight furlongs in a mile;
6. The silver piece of eight was coined in the Spanish Empire and moved trade around the world;
7. Eight symbolizes eternity or infinity, as it has no beginning or end;
and last, but certainly not least...
8. The number of years Kelly has patiently endured my presence. And what a ride! Who wouldn't want to spend 8 years with their best friend?
Love ya toots! Happy Anniversary.
Is it summer or what?

Kelly and I went down to St. George over the Memorial Day weekend. It was wooonderful to be out and about in the sunshine while it was raining buckets here. Did a few hikes in Zion, including my favorite, Angel's Landing. A must if you're in Zions...a must-not if it happens to be Memorial Day weekend. Nothing like being crammed elbow to corn hole with people on a trail 2 feet wide with sheer cliffs on either side.

The Results

Over the past couple weeks, our radon levels have averaged about 2.8 + Abatement is recommended at 4.0. On rainy days, which have been just about every day, we were averaging 3.8. A map of Layton and our subdivision in particular, shows the area to be on the unusually high side. Sweeeet. Next step: Slather the concrete with a radon mitigation sealer before we get carpet.
